Cold sores are a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus. Once this virus enters the body, it cannot be expelled, although the body's natural defenses keep it at bay most of the time. But when we go through times of stress, anxiety or convalescence and our symptoms decrease, the virus reappears and that is when we can use medications to combat its unpleasant symptoms.

The usual dose and method of application of Zovicrem lipstick in adults and children from 12 years of age is:

Wash your hands before and after applying the cream.
For treatment to be as effective as possible, it should be started as soon as the first symptoms begin to be noticed, since in advanced stages it is more difficult to solve. The initial symptoms are usually itching and burning.
With a finger, apply enough to cover the affected area and some of the healthy skin around it.
It should be applied every 4 hours and a total of 5 times a day.
If you forget an application, do it as soon as possible. If after 10 days of treatment the fever has not been cured, you should consult your doctor.
Children under 12 years of age, pregnant and lactating women should not use this medicine without first consulting their doctor.
The most common side effects of Zovicrem lipstick are dryness, itching, or burning.
