The active substance in Dulcosoft powder for oral solution is macrogol 4000. Macrogol 4000 has a high water-binding capacity and acts as a carrier for the liquid (water).
Macrogol transports water directly to the colon, where it softens hard stools and increases the volume of stool. This increases intestinal transit and facilitates defecation. Macrogol 4000 responds to a purely physical mode of action; It is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.
Dulcosoft powder for oral solution is used for:
– Symptomatic treatment of constipation
– Softening of hard stools.
