This medication is indicated for fever and for the relief of mild to moderate pain.
Dosage
Apiretal is administered orally. It comes in the form of a clear, red solution with a raspberry aroma.
It is intended for children weighing between 3 kg and 32 kg, and is approximately 0 to 10 years of age.
The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg/kg/day, divided into 4 or 6 daily doses, i.e., 15 mg/kg every 6 hours, or 10 mg/kg every 4 hours.
Composition of Apiretal
Active ingredient: Paracetamol. Each milliliter of solution contains 100 mg of paracetamol.
Other ingredients: Polyethylene glycol, glycerol (E-422), raspberry essence, sodium saccharin (E-954), azorubine (carmoisine) (E-122), and water.
Appearance of Apiretal: It comes in the form of a clear, red, raspberry-flavored solution.
Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before starting to take Apiretal.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
In patients with kidney, heart, or lung disease, and in patients with anemia (a decrease in the level of hemoglobin in the blood, whether or not due to a decrease in red blood cells), consult your doctor before taking this medication.
Consuming alcoholic beverages may cause paracetamol to cause liver damage.
If pain persists for more than 3 days in children (2 days for sore throats) or fever persists for more than 3 days, or worsens or other symptoms appear, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
It is advisable to consult a doctor before administering this medicine to children under 3 years of age.
